THE MERCY SERIES III

‘’THE MERCY SERIES III" consists of three paintings created with eggshell lacquer, presenting a fragmented yet radiantly benevolent Buddha face. YĒASHÀNG ingeniously captures the brokenness and incompleteness of the Buddha face through the application of eggshell lacquer, while still exuding a compassionate glow through the fractured surface. As a symbol widely present in Eastern culture, the Buddha face represents wisdom, compassion, and serenity. In this painting, the fragmentation of the Buddha face presents a dramatic contrast, akin to the struggles and adversities of life. However, above all else, compassion and tranquility persist, offering strength and solace, prompting contemplation on the fragility and preciousness of life amidst such contradictions. As the most shattered piece in this series, "The Cimu Series III" profoundly interprets the fragility of life and its compassionate power through its unique artistic expression.
